Five Rivers Ireland is Ireland's first independent fostering agency. We have been established since 2002. Our role is to provide vulnerable children with a high standard of care within a family setting.
 

Our foster families are committed to providing children and young people with a high standard of care. We provide our foster families with training and a high level of support. This helps families to understand and deal with the challenges which fostering brings.

We work in partnership with the HSE, birth parents and other people who are involved in children/young people's lives. 

When children / young people cannot live with their birth families due to abuse, neglect, addiction or other circumstances, the Health Service Executive will look for alternative care for these young people.In Ireland, foster care is the preferred option for children and young people in care.
